Why isn't 4DSKY showing aircraft from my sensor?

If your device is showing as “Online” in the 4DSKY web app, the most common reason your data is not visible in 4DSKY is that the service is not currently purchasing from your sensor. This may be because the service has exhausted its funds, the development team is testing different configurations, or the service has chosen not to buy from you at this time
You can think of 4DSky as an independent customer that selects sensors based on its own criteria. This is not related to favouring one sensor over another and does not reflect the quality or value of your contribution. These variations are part of ongoing network testing
Another common cause is network latency between the buyer and the seller. In this case, the issue is not necessarily on your side. If data packets arrive too late to be useful, the buyer will discard them. Latency can be caused by overloaded networks, streaming to too many buyers simultaneously, or running multiple sensor services at once, which can also overload the JetVision device. The 4DSky web app works with an exponential back-off, therefore if latency is regularly experienced then 4DSky web app may buy from your device less often
Most importantly, as long as your device is showing as “Online” in the 4DSKY web app then you are accumulating points and your device is functioning correctly
It can take up to 24 hours from a device being setup for it to be picked up by the 4DSKY map
